"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!

Well my iMac Web Template was liked by another Deviant Art user who has a Gallery for Good Web Designs that others sumbit to Deviant and he/she selected mine in there and I thought was really cool that other people admire my work enough to add it into their own "Good WebDesign" gallery hehe.
